Our methodology
Sources
We use primary sources first: legal texts, pages of federal, cantonal and municipal authorities, public registers and official programme pages. A secondary source (press, trade association, manufacturer) supports context only and is labelled as such.
Every fact is tied to a specific passage of its source and to the date it was checked. Before publication, and no more than 14 days before, every source is checked again; a fact that can no longer be confirmed is removed, not softened.
Prices
We show an amount only when a dated primary source publishes it, in the local currency (CHF in Switzerland). We do not estimate "typical prices".
Public registers
To check a firm, we consult public registers such as the commercial register (Zefix). An entry shows that a business legally exists; it does not prove its competence, its insurance, or that it is authorized for a type of work. We never present an entry as a guarantee.
We do not copy registers, and we do not collect data from maps, directories or social networks.
Review and corrections
Every language version is reviewed by a native speaker. Reported errors are reviewed within 10 business days, and every substantive correction is dated in the guide's change log.
Limits
Our guides are not legal, tax or technical advice, and they do not say whether a project qualifies for a subsidy: only the competent authorities decide that. We promise no search ranking and no citation by any assistant.
