How Elegant Lists works
Guides for planning scheduled work
Elegant Lists publishes practical guides for preparing scheduled (non-emergency) work in a home: heating, plumbing, electrical. Each guide covers one city and explains the steps, the official rules that apply, and how to compare quotes.
The guides do not cover emergencies. For a leak, a heating failure in winter or an electrical hazard, contact a professional or the emergency services directly.
How the guides are sourced and reviewed
Every fact cites an official source (law, public authority, public register, official programme) with the date we checked it. A fact we cannot source is removed.
Every language version is reviewed by a native speaker before publication. The reviewer's name or role and the review date appear on the guide.
What we do not do yet
We do not yet offer introductions to firms. We do not rank any firm and we do not sell placement in our guides.
